Accessibility

BuiltAI wants this site and the platform behind it to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. We treat accessibility as production work, not a checkbox.

1. Standard we target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA across the marketing site and the operator/client product surfaces.

2. What we do

Practices we apply across the codebase:

  • Semantic HTML with appropriate landmarks and headings.
  • Keyboard-operable navigation and visible focus indicators on every interactive element.
  • Colour contrast checked against WCAG AA thresholds for body copy and UI controls.
  • Form fields with associated labels and inline error messages surfaced to assistive tech.
  • Alt text on meaningful images; decorative imagery marked as such.
  • Reduced-motion preferences respected for animations and parallax.

3. Known limitations

Some embedded third-party widgets (booking calendars, video players) inherit their host's accessibility behaviour and we cannot guarantee full WCAG conformance for those surfaces. We choose vendors with strong accessibility records and provide a non-embedded alternative wherever possible.
