Why we exist
The gap was workflow, not capability.
Why we started
We watched contractors and FM operators paying for AI tools that produced unverified output, no audit trail and no procurement story. Tender writers couldn't defend the AI's claims to clients. RAMS reviewers couldn't tell what had been edited by a model. Commercial leads couldn't prove a variation narrative wasn't fabricated.
The gap
The gap wasn't an AI capability gap — it was a workflow and governance gap. The platforms had moved faster than the operating discipline. So we built the discipline: classification rules, approval gates, evidence indexes, disclosure language, baseline + re-measure rhythm.
Where we run
BuiltAI installs that discipline as productised packs in commercial control, tendering, RAMS, service desk, margin reporting, contract obligations and AI governance. Audit-first, governance-led, sized for SME and mid-market built-environment businesses.

If we can't see the leakage, we don't pretend to fix it. Every engagement starts with a fixed-scope audit and a board-defensible findings pack.
Procurement-safe by default
Standard SOW clauses, AI Schedule, RED-data hard-block, evidence trail and disclosure language ship with every pack — not as upsells.
Small numbers, real numbers
We publish n, range and methodology. No median-only claims, no blended productivity figures, no "AI saved us X hours" without baselines.
Workflow over tooling
AI is one part of a workflow pack. We measure pack outcomes, not AI productivity in isolation — that comparison is misleading on day one and meaningless on day ninety.
