Evidence as you go
Disputes are decided on the evidence available at the moment of decision. Teams that try to assemble that evidence retrospectively lose more often than they should — not because they were wrong, but because they cannot find what they had.
What an evidence index looks like
- One row per claim, instruction, notice or variation.
- A pointer to the supporting documents — not the documents themselves.
- Review cadence and last-reviewed date so the team knows the index is live.
- A defended position: 'if a dispute landed today, this is what we would point at.'
